Chairman, Leyard International
Mr. Zhang is a co-founder of Leyard, and currently serves as Chairman of the Leyard Overseas Board, and the Board of Directors of Planar System Inc. He has been the President of Leyard American Corporation, Leyard's initial North America branch, since 2014. Beginning in 2003, he held various position of Leyard Optoelectronic Company in Beijing, China, including VP purchasing, General Counsel, and General Manager. Chief Financial Officer
Ms. Bai has served as the CFO and Director for Leyard Overseas Board since 2015. Prior to joining, Cindy served as Chief Financial Officer of HBA Inc, as Vice President of Finance for Alcoa Inc. Asia, and at Motorola Inc. where for 18 years she had a variety of finance roles. Cindy obtained her Bachelor degree in Economics from Central University of Finance and Economics in China and she holds an MBA from Arizona State University. She is a certified public account in the state of Illinois.
Executive Vice President, Sales and Marketing
Mr. Schmidt joined the Company in June 2001 and currently serves as Executive Vice President, Sales and Marketing. Since joining Planar, Adam has held various customer-facing positions in Customer Service, Marketing, Business Development, and Sales. Prior to joining Planar, Adam worked in Marketing at Mentor Graphics, and as a Project Manager for Washington County (OR) Land Use & Transportation. Adam has a BS in Economics and an MBA from Willamette University.
Vice President, Chief Technical Officer
Mr. Geng has been Vice President of Leyard Optoelectronic Co. Ltd for 20 years and most recently worked in the overseas business group managing technical development, research, customer service, technical support, project management, quality, and research and development, overseeing all technical aspects of the company to achieve the company’s strategic business plans. Mr. Geng has a BS in Electronic Engineering from Tsinghua University and an MS in Electronic Engineering from the Chinese Academy of Science.
Samantha (Sam) Phenix
Vice President, Research and Development
Ms. Phenix joined the Company in April 2014 and currently serves as the Vice President of Research and Development. Prior to joining, Ms. Phenix spent 13 years in a variety of engineering roles, including Director of Engineering and Site Manager for Barco’s Medical Imaging Division. More recently, she has held strategic marketing and business development roles with both Dell and Intel. Ms. Phenix holds a BS in Computer Science from the University of Ulster, Coleraine, Northern Ireland and an MBA from Concordia University.
Vice President, Global Operations
Mr. Baumgartner has been with the Company since July 2000 and currently serves as the Vice President of Global Operations for Leyard’s international business and Planar, a Leyard company. He has served in a variety of marketing, sales and operations roles during his tenure at Planar. Prior to joining, Mr. Baumgartner held a marketing role a LeCroy Corporation and a variety of engineering and marketing roles at Tektronix. Mr. Baumgartner received his BS in Electrical Engineering and his BS in Economics with a concentration in Marketing from the University of Pennsylvania.
Vice President and Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Gray joined the Company in 2005 and currently serves as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Planar, a Leyard company. Mr. Gray has held various positions inside the Company including Director of Finance for worldwide operations, Corporate Treasurer, Vice President and Corporate Controller, and Vice President of Finance. Prior to joining Planar, Mr. Gray has held significant financial planning and analysis, business partnering and treasury positions at Sequent Computer Systems, Radisys, Merant plc and Tektronix. He has a BS in Finance from the University of Portland.
Chief Executive Officer, Leyard Europe
Mr. Bruines joined the company in 2016 with responsibility for the Europe, Middle East, and Africa business for Leyard and Planar. He held prior executive and business development roles at Barco, Inter Visual Systems, and European system integrator, SIGHT. He lead the joint venture between Barco and Leyard in China in the early 2000s as Leyard established itself as the market leader in fine pitch LED displays. He has studied economics and holds an MBA completed in Spain and China.
Vice President, Leyard Asia
Mr. Lao joined Leyard in April, 2012 managing the Asia Pacific region, having served in sales and management positions for over 30 years in multi-national and publically-listed companies like RJ Reynolds, Hayes Modems, Imagineering (Australia), and Lighthouse Technologies. He earned a marketing diploma from Chinese University of Hong Kong.
CEO, Leyard Japan
Mr. Miura joined Leyard in April 2014 leading the company’s business in Japan across multiple vertical segments and applications. Prior to joining Leyard, he held product management, division management and systems engineering roles at Barco headquarters in Belgium, Hibino, and Barco Japan. He has been involved in the display business for twenty-five years and LED for over two decades. He holds a degree from Nippon University, Department of Science and Engineering.
Orlando Custódio Filho
CEO, Leyard Brazil and Latin America
Mr. Filho joined Leyard in 2013 and manages the Latin and South American business. Prior to joining the company, he held sales, executive, and training roles at Painéis de Led em Alta Definição (a Brazilian reseller of high definition of LED panels), Comex, and Motorola. He has a bachelor’s degree in social communication and advertising from Faculdades Opet and a Master’s of Business Administration (MBA) from ISAE/FGV.
Faith A Dubin
Vice President, Human Resources
Ms. Dubin joined the company in 2011 and manages all hiring, compensation and human resources activities for the geographic locations of the Leyard International Group outside of mainland China. Prior to joining, she held management positions at Serena, Merant, Adidas, Pacific Mutual, and a large lumber company. She graduated with honors from Rutgers University, with a degree in Political Science. She received a gubernatorial appointment to the Employment Department Advisory Council for the State of Oregon, where she served from 2004-2007. Ms. Dubin also taught the Benefits Management class in the HR Certificate Program at Portland State University for over a decade.
